Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • How do I get a physiotherapy home visit?

Call 9315 2200 or enquire online. We'll talk through what's needed, then coordinate a physiotherapy assessment.

  • Why choose a home visit for physiotherapy over a clinic?

A home visit means your physiotherapist sees your actual stairs, furniture and layout, so exercises, walking aid recommendations and mobility training reflect the space you really live in. It also removes the need to travel when mobility, pain or transport is already a challenge.

  • Can physiotherapy help after a hospital stay?

Yes. In-home physio is often used as part of short-term recovery support after a hospital stay, including through Interim Hospital Packages, to rebuild strength and mobility and reduce the risk of readmission.

  • Is home physiotherapy funded through Support at Home?

Physiotherapy is one of the allied health services that can be funded through the Support at Home Program, along with CHSP, DVA, Interim Hospital Packages, and private care. Eligibility depends on your individual assessment, so it's best confirmed through a free consultation with our team.

  • Does mobility and strength have to decline with age?

No. Proactive physiotherapy, regular strengthening, balance and gait training, can help maintain and even improve mobility as you age, and it's a meaningful part of reducing fall risk and staying independent at home.

  • What areas does Companion Home Care's physiotherapy service cover?

We provide in-home physiotherapy across the Perth metro area and the Peel region of Western Australia. Call our team on 9315 2200 to check availability at your address.
